Instrukcja została opracowana (krok po kroku) na podstawie Knoppiksa 5.0.1 uruchomionego z płyty i dotyczy konfiguracji usługi Neostrada TP S.A. z modemem SpeedTouch 330 USB. Instrukcja jest również zgodna z dystrybucjami Debian, Kubuntu i SuSE.

Przed przystąpieniem do instalacji modemu, użytkownik powinien zaopatrzyć się w plik ze sterownikami i skryptem instalacyjnym.

Pobierz: alcatel.zip

Instalację rozpoczynamy uruchamiając konsolę w trybie administratora.

Kmenu --> Knoppix --> Root konsole

Pobrany plik alcatel.zip należy rozpakować i umieścić w katalogu /usr/local/alcatel, z którego rozpoczniemy właściwą instalację.

Proces rozpoczynamy komendą sh ./speedtouchconf.sh

W tej chwili nastąpi synchronizacja modemu. Rozpoznamy to po migającej diodzie ADSL.

The lights should both be solid green now.

Palące się dwie kontrolki sygnalizują o poprawnej synchronizacji modemu.
